OG status. Legends. Been through all the fire. These are phrases that come easily when you think of the artists on “Been There”
On Sunday 14th June, Navio and The Mith treated fans, family and friends to a listening party for their forthcoming collaborative album GODLVL(pronounced God Level). While engaging with fans we discovered that A.Y , Vampino and other artists especially in the foundation of Ugandan music/hip Hop are featured on the album.
Tanzanian rapper A.Y and Vampino aka Vamposs join Navio and The Mith on the single “Been There” a sentiment of elevation and experience. If the level is God level, then truly the Klear Kuts, The Mith and Navio have been there. Hip Hop and Dance Hall intersect creating a cross cutting sound: Joined by seasoned veterans, it is only right; the song was produced by Aethan (who has shaped the Ugandan Hip Hop sound for years).

Zippy’s boy… on business he stands – The Mith
Schooling these haters I may start some colleges – Navio
The conversations around the album has been nostalgic and futuristic in a sense that the album takes us to the origin stories and the future prospects, musically. “Been There” is the reassurance, and clarity. The energy is vicious the bars are Oyo. While on the NuveyLive Podcast Navio emphasised fans getting 25 plus years of experience on the album, “Been There” is the first teaser into what and where the album goes.
