Top 24 Ugandan Hip Hop/Rap Albums of 2024

First off, this year has been great. There are more than 30+ full length projects that were released by various artistes. There is more rap albums and mix tapes coming out in the 2020s this year being testament.

We want to say, the EP and LP is still alive!

There’s so much music we have been listening to and the list has had so many edits through out the year up to press time. 2024 opened with albums from Rickman Manrick, Viboyo Oweyo, Navio; and as the year is closing Bana Mutibwa released an album as well.

While putting together this list; we didn’t focus much on streaming numbers or radio play. We focused much on what the albums meant to us, the music and how it affected us throughout the year. The quality of production, concept, arrangement, replay value and overall consistency of themes.

2024 albums explored politics, faith, utopia, relationships, sex, dedication and most importantly hip hop. Such a wide array of themes!
