Last night was exquisite for the poetry community of Makerere that gathers every Friday fortnight to share poetic noise and stories. However last night, a Tuesday that was exceptionally attended and organised out of necissity; to see Ugandan poets share with celebrated British-Ethopian poet Lemn Sissay.
A number of budding poets, performers and story tellers turned up. The event was in three phases; a run of young Ugandan poets, the performance of Lemn himself and later a short discussion is career, poetry and more.
