As 2024 came to a close, Stayput released “Pain in the Ass” to confirm that he is one of the best like a needle he brings the pain to the butt.
Now to add onto his monikers in song, on this new release he is a “Third World Superstar“. The video was directed by Ele and song produced by Greilla with Giniman mixing and mastering it.
The Lira born rapper is in his bragging bag, talking Peaky Blinders, being like Mandela with a presidential flow: he feels like Bobi Wine.
The song explores his self awareness and the need to stick to being you. Stayput born Ojok Jimmy C. also shares where he draws I aspiration from. He grinds like 50 Cent, you know that get rich or die trying mantra?
He also carries a sense of self drive and not wanting to be a media puppet or plant: being independent comes with its perks.
Interestingly, he shares rappers come and go but he says he is here stronger. The industry and requirements to continue creating for the culture can be heavy on rappers and only passion, resources and commitment keep most rappers around.
Stayput has been consistent ever since his debut EP Rango. And in 2024 he was on a mission to drop so much music.
If certain Ugandan rappers over 40 are still here making music, why not Stayput ?
